What To Expect At Your Child’s First Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see their dentist for the first time by their first birthday, or within 6 months of getting their first tooth. When you bring your little one to Blue Skies Pediatric Dentistry, you can always expect a seamless and enjoyable experience for the entire family. We love getting to meet new families in Verona and Madison, WI and introducing little ones to a life of fun, informative dental care. Here’s what you can expect at your child’s first visit.

How We Make Awesome Appointments Happen

Nutritional Counseling

A wholesome diet will keep your child’s teeth and body healthy, all while reducing the risk of cavities and other oral health issues. Your pediatric dentist can recommend dietary modifications to set your child’s smile and whole-body health up for success.

An Environment You’ll Both Appreciate

With our relaxing waiting room, including complimentary beverage station and friendly welcoming staff, we’ve designed a space that keeps both you and your child at ease from the moment you walk through our doors.

Desensitization Appointments

First visits are overwhelming sometimes — there are so many new faces, sounds, and expectations! To help your child adjust, we offer desensitization appointments. Through a series of visits, we’ll give your child a tour of our office, introduce our friendly team, and teach them about dental tools. This helps your kiddo get acclimated with our space so they can feel safe, secure, and cared for.

Behavior Guidance Counseling

Sitting in the dental chair isn’t always easy. Our behavior counseling empowers your child to face challenges, overcome obstacles, and gain confidence as they learn how to take charge of their oral health.

Kid Tested, Parent Approved Office

We’re here to make dental visits fun! Our comforting and exciting amenities are carefully selected to ensure you and your child enjoy your stay with us!

Truly Tailored Care

Every child is unique! That’s why our team is delighted to get to know your kiddo’s personality and needs to create an appointment experience that works best for them.
