We are focused on helping parents feel encouraged and empowered when making decisions about their child by keeping our little patients’ best interest at heart and forming lasting and trusting connections. No matter your child’s dental needs, we are here to help you and your child feel comfortable while guiding and educating you as a parent to solve issues and keep track of your child’s oral health.

Get to Know Dr. Stephen Prieve
Dr. Stephen Prieve, better known to his patients as Dr. Steve, grew up in Denver, Colorado. His interest in dentistry was first piqued while in high school. Although he first pursued engineering as an undergraduate, he quickly transferred to biology to prepare for dental school. Dr. Steve received his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science from Colorado State University.
While in dental school, Dr. Steve found that treating children was more exciting and fulfilling, which led to his specialization. He earned his DMD from Boston University and Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone. After working in Iowa for two years, he decided to settle in Madison to be closer to his family.
When he’s not in the office, he enjoys biking, especially participating in century rides, golfing, and playing softball. With his passion for flying and airplanes, Dr. Steve has also been working diligently to earn his pilot's license.

Your Child’s First Visit
As you walk into our office, you’ll be greeted by the smiling faces of our friendly team and the amenities of our kid-tested and parent-approved office. You and your child can take advantage of our beverage station while you sit and relax before your appointment begins. We’re also happy to go over your completed paperwork or answer any insurance-related questions you may have to make your child’s appointment as seamless as possible.
You and your child will meet with Dr. Steve and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays. We spend the extra time to address your concerns and discuss the state of your child’s dental health with you before outlining a unique treatment plan tailored to their needs. Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits and sign you up for our in-house membership plan.

Sedation Options
We offer sedation options like laughing gas for our little patients who may require extra relief and comfort to ease their dental anxiety.
Desensitization Appointments
Over the course of multiple appointments, your child will get used to their surroundings and feel less anxious to make their experience more pleasant.
Behavioral Guidance Counseling
Through pediatric-focused, evidence supported techniques, we establish clear communication with our little patients to create a safe environment and build trusting bonds.
Nutritional Counseling
Even if your child's teeth do not have decay, discussion of nutritional strategies to keep their teeth happy and healthy is always beneficial!
